The Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz – Max-Planck-Institut (KHI Florenz) and the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin – Stiftung Preußischer Kulturbesitz (SMB) are pleased to announce a call for application for up to four doctoral or postdoctoral fellowships within the program 'Connecting Art Histories in the Museum. The Mediterranean, Asia and Europe', beginning approximately March 1, 2012.

Hier finden Sie eine Ausschreibung für 10 Post-Doc-Fellwoships für das Akademische Jahr 2012/2013 in Berlin. Auch Kunsthistoriker und Historiker materieller Kultur sind eingeladen sich zu bewerben. Bewerbungen, die größere kulturhistorische und gesellschaftspolitische Zusammenhänge in Gegenwart und Vergangenheit behandeln, haben aufgrund der Ausrichtung dieses Programms deutlich bessere Aussichten auf Erfolg, als rein materialkundliche und objektbezogene Untersuchungen.

 Below you will find the announcement for 10 post-doctoral fellowships for the academic year 2012-13 in Berlin.  Art historians and historians are warmly invited to apply. Because of the aims and orientations of this programme, applications which treat the larger cultural-historical milieu and the social-political contexts of art and objects have a much better chance of success than applications with focus on material, formal or other strictly object-related questions.
