Dear Friends of the Museum of Islamic Art,
The DAFG - German-Arab Friendship Society and the Museum for Islamic Art - National Museums in Berlin would like to invite you to the fourth lecture in the DAFG series "Insights - Berlin Museums Introduce Themselves":
Beyond the Museum Walls:
The Syrian Heritage Initiative and Outreach Education for a Shared Future at the Museum of Islamic Art
from
Rasha Kanjarawi and Miriam Kurz
Museum of Islamic Art - National Museums in Berlin
on Thursday, 11 February 2021,
at 17:00 - 18:00
ONLINE
Language: English
In order to reach out to as many sections of society as possible, the work of the Museum for Islamic Art extends far beyond its walls. As an example of this, the lecture presents two major research and outreach projects of the museum. Rasha Kanjarawi presents the diverse work of the Syrian Heritage Initiatives, while Miriam Kurz provides insights into the concept and strategies of the museum's outreach work using the example of the "Common Past - Common Future" project with its successful transcultural education programme.
The online event is free of charge and takes place with the software "Zoom". The number of participants is limited. Please register online by 10 February 2021 at https://tinyurl.com/y5v5sg69. After your registration you will receive the corresponding access data.
Yours sincerely, Your Executive Board
