The Museum für Islamische Kunst (Museum for Islamic Art) is a reference museum in the German-speaking world for the artistic, architectural and archaeological heritage of Islamicate regions. Being the oldest museum of Islamic art outside Islamicate regions, our museum houses around 100,000 historical objects. They originate from the Mediterranean region (Southern Europe, North Africa, West Asia) as well as Central and South Asia and were created between the 7th and 19th centuries. 

The Friends of the Museum for Islamic Art association endeavors to foster the unique position of the Museum of Islamic Art and support the work it does. At the same time, we would like to contribute to global understanding and mutual cultural exchange through an examination of the wide-ranging cultural heritage of Muslim societies.

1 Membership is for the respective calendar year. Termination must be requested in writing four weeks before the end of the year (by November 30).
2 The reduced contribution amount applies to students who present a current enrolment certificate.

You can rescind this application, without stating any reasons, within two weeks so long as the request is made in writing (by letter, fax or email). The cancellation period commences, at the earliest, upon receipt of this cancellation policy. The timely dispatch of a cancellation request to the following address shall be deemed sufficient with respect to compliance with the cancellation terms:
