Museum trip to Dresden - Damascus Room and Turkish Chamber
13 April 2024
Dear friends of the Museum for Islamic Art,
In October 2022, we organized a joint excursion to Dresden, with curatorial tours of the Damascus Room, the Japanese Palace and the Türckische Cammer. The trip was very well received and some of the members among you who were unfortunately unable to attend in 2022 asked if we could organize the tours again. We have complied and would like to invite you to the excursion to Dresden on April 13, 2024.
Program for Saturday, 13.04.2024
Meeting point is shortly before 11 a.m. at the Japanese Palace. The guided tour of the Damascus Room will start at 11 am. We will be guided by Ms. Margareta Bijvank from the Education and Mediation Department of the Dresden State Art Collections, who is also co-curator of the presentation of the Damascus Room. Afterwards we can have lunch together and then set off for the Residenzschloss, where the head curator, Mr. Holger Schuckelt, will guide us through the Türckische Cammer at 4 pm.
